Continuing Medical Education Lecture: The Opioid Crisis
As the opioid crisis continues to impact every corner of America, two VCU professors shed light on two aspects of the crisis: the addiction itself and crime labs. Join us for a night of continuing medical education and insight into this crisis at the iconic Egyptian Building, where you have the chance to hear from Michelle R. Peace, Ph.D. (Ph.D.’05/M), assistant professor in the Department of Forensic Science in the College of Humanities and Sciences, and Mishka Terplan, M.D., professor of obstetrics, gynecology and psychiatry at the VCU School of Medicine and director of the VCU Health Multidisciplinary Outpatient Intensive Addiction Treatment Clinic. Registration includes valet parking and light refreshments following the lecture.
VCU Health Continuing Medical Education is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. VCU Health Continuing Medical Education designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Rock Climbing
Come climb to new heights with fellow alumni, friends and family. Cost includes a day pass for top-rope climbing and bouldering, harness and belay device. Comfortable clothing is suggested and close-toed shoes are required to climb. You can rent climbing shoes for $3.50 plus tax. First time climbing? We won’t leave you hanging! Staff are available to belay for you. You will need to sign a waiver to climb; save time and fill it out before you come.

Habitat for Humanity ReStore Volunteer Opportunity
Volunteer with the Richmond Metro Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Chesterfield County. Help organize donated items, clean the store and assist customers. Please come dressed to change into a VCU shirt. Participants receive a T-shirt. Limited to 14 people.
