Atlantic 10 tournament events

Join VCU Alumni and the VCU community for a host of exciting A-10 tournament activities for the men’s and women’s basketball teams. VCU Alumni returns to Henrico, Virginia, March 5-9 for the Women’s Basketball Championship and to Washington, D.C., March 12-16 for the Men’s Basketball Championship.

Register and attend the men’s or women’s pregame receptions for a chance to win a signed basketball from the team.

Celebrate VCU’s return to D.C. with food, camaraderie and swag. We’ve secured space at Penn Social and Rocket Bar as the official pregame reception locations. Both venues will feature food, swag and games, plus a cash bar stocked with local craft beers. Space is limited; registration is required. Generously sponsored by Virginia Credit Union.

Get ready for the ultimate celebration, Ram fans! Witness the electrifying journey of VCU’s women’s basketball team as they charge into the A-10 tournament. Let’s turn up the excitement with a free pregame bash with food and exclusive swag. Intermission Beer Co.is an alum-owned, family-friendly business that’s three-minute drive to the game at the Henrico Sports and Events Center. Space is limited; registration is required.

Update your selfie at Shipgarten
Join the College of Humanities and Sciences, College of Health Professions, and the DMV regional alumni chapter for a happy hour at Shipgarten, an alumni owned business. We'll be offering appetizers, beer and wine, and the opportunity to update your profile pictures to match your vibe. We'll have a photographer and a few different backdrops that fit different styles.

Bingo night at Ornery Brewery
College of Humanities and Sciences is inviting alumni to Bingo Night at Ornery Brewery in Fairfax, VA. VCU will have a small reserved area starting at 6pm- however you're able to come at any time and hop into the next game! We'll have some VCU prizes so make sure you find us and get a raffle ticket!

Exhibition tour at Smithsonian American Art Museum
Stories of Race and American Sculpture with Tobias Wofford, co-curator of the exhibition and VCUarts art history professor. This groundbreaking exhibition features 82 artworks created between 1792 and 2023, and it examines for the first time the ways in which sculpture has shaped and reflected attitudes and understandings about race in the United States.

Black Alumni Council A10 Watch Party at The Park
Start up A-10 weekend with the Black Alumni Council at DC's lively and renowned Park at 14th. Join us for an evening happy hour with drink specials just for alumni and guests. Enjoy delicious food (first come, first served) and drinks while catching up on the A-10 tournament games and getting to know more Rams in the DMV.
